About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst (Advanced level) to join a project for Frontex, supporting enterprise information systems in the areas of human resources, asset management, financial processes, and grant agreements management.

Minimum requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree

• English language: Minimum C1 (CEFR)

• IT-relevant professional experience: minimum 8 years

• Project experience relevant to the profile (or similar position): minimum 5 years

Required Certificates (mandatory — at least 2)

Candidates must hold at least 2 certifications among the following:

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent

• Certified UML Professional certificate at foundation level, or BPM2 fundamental level, or equivalent

Knowledge and skills

• Has gone at least once through the complete lifecycle of a software solution

• Knowledge in business process modelling using BPMN notation

• Knowledge in requirements/user stories elicitation and analysis

• Knowledge of analysis/modelling notations like UML (capability diagram, activity diagram, state diagram, logical data model, etc.)

• Proficient in using modelling tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect, Aris Architect, or others

• Excellent analytical and communication skills

• Ability to create and maintain analytical and project documentation effectively

• Strong problem-solving skills

Specific requirements

• Solid previous experience in business analysis activities for enterprise information systems supporting human resources, asset management, financial processes, and grant agreements management

• Previous experience in business analysis in projects related to integrations between systems and data platforms

• Demonstrated familiarity with SQL and data analysis techniques

• At least 3 years of experience as a BA on a large system, working with a development team of more than 10 developers

Typical tasks and responsibilities

• Models and documents value chains/streams, business processes, roles, capabilities, and data

• Elicits and analyses business needs, requirements, and user stories

• Supports business experts and product owners during definition of requirements and software development

• Maintains and tracks requirements/user stories throughout the systems lifecycle

• Translates business, user, and technical needs into business requirements specifications

• Maps business goals, project benefits, priorities, components, and system features

• Analyses available systems and supports identification of potential solutions

• Supports preparation of business cases and feasibility studies

• Contributes to systems design, testing, quality assurance, and change management

• Designs, validates, and tests business processes for business process excellence

• Takes a holistic approach to planning and managing continuous improvement programmes

• Coaches Frontex staff on upcoming changes and skill/process transitions

• Collaborates with process owners to identify improvement opportunities

• Communicates project objectives, business case, requirements, and scope to all stakeholders

• Performs quantitative analysis of business processes (cost-benefit, what-if analysis)

• Plans organizational change processes

• Implements performance monitoring systems for business processes

• Supports business users in developing strategic and tactical plans

• Supports definition of transition roadmaps for business architectures
