Data Platform Lead Administrator

🏛️ About the Role

The European Commission is looking for a Data Platform Lead Administrator (key personnel) to join its data management team in Luxembourg. In this role, you will be responsible for the operational management, reliability, security and performance of enterprise data platforms — including hybrid architecture administration, secure agents, integrations, access controls and configurations — working closely with the CJEU technical teams. The expected contract duration is 24 months.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the operational management, reliability, security and performance of enterprise data platforms.

• Administer hybrid architecture environments, covering both on-premises and cloud components.

• Manage secure agents, integrations, access controls and platform configurations.

• Coordinate and execute platform deployments, upgrades and source connectivity tasks.

• Handle incident management related to data platform operations, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.

• Monitor, optimise and maintain platform performance across all environments.

• Ensure adherence to security, governance and compliance requirements in all platform operations.

✅ Mandatory Qualifications

• At least 3 years of completed university studies in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related field.

• In the absence of a degree in a relevant field, demonstrated equivalent professional experience of at least 8 years will be accepted.

✅ Mandatory Certifications

• Informatica data platform certification, e.g. Informatica Cloud Data Integration Developer.

• Data architecture certification, e.g. DAMA CDMP Associate Level.

✅ Mandatory Experience

• Proven hands-on experience with the Informatica data platform (IICS or equivalent), including administration and configuration.

• Demonstrated experience managing hybrid architecture environments (on-premises and cloud).

• Experience administering secure agents, integrations and access controls within enterprise data platforms.

• Hands-on experience with platform configuration, monitoring, optimisation, deployment, incident management and upgrade management.

• Experience managing source connectivity across heterogeneous data environments.

• English or French at minimum B2 CEFR level, spoken and written.
