Systems Software Engineer – Web Development (React / SharePoint Online)

🏛️ About the Role

The European Investment Bank Group (EIBG) is looking for a Systems Software Engineer specialised in Web Development to join its digital workplace team in Luxembourg.

In this role, you will design, develop and maintain custom front-end components using React for SharePoint Online, working closely with EIBG technical teams and other service providers in an agile, sprint-based delivery environment.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain custom front-end components using React for SharePoint Online, including SPFx-based solutions where applicable.

• Translate UX/UI designs and specifications into high-quality, performant and maintainable front-end implementations.

• Ensure front-end components adhere to agreed coding standards, architectural guidelines, security requirements and accessibility principles.

• Integrate custom front-end components with SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365 services and existing intranet functionalities.

• Support testing, validation, bug fixing and optimisation of front-end components across development, test and acceptance environments.

• Contribute to technical documentation, handover materials and knowledge transfer related to developed front-end solutions.

• Collaborate with EIBG technical teams and other service providers within an iterative, sprint-based delivery approach.

✅ Mandatory Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Web Design, or other relevant field.

• In the absence of a Bachelor's/Master's degree in a relevant field, demonstrated equivalent professional experience of at least 8 years will be accepted.

✅ Mandatory Experience

• At least 7 years of experience in front-end software development for web-based applications or portals.

• Proven experience on multiple projects involving React-based front-end development.

• Demonstrated experience developing custom front-end components integrated with SharePoint Online, including SPFx-based solutions where applicable.

⭐ Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in intranet, extranet or enterprise portal projects.

• Experience working within Microsoft 365 environments and integrating front-end components with SharePoint Online services.

• Excellent communication skills in English.
