Business Continuity Management Expert (BCME) – EU Agency Project

We are supporting a European Agency in strengthening and maturing its Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), a strategic domain that ensures operational resilience, ISO 22301 compliance, and the organisation’s ability to respond to critical incidents.

We are currently looking for a Business Continuity Management Expert (BCME) to reinforce the internal Task Force responsible for analysing, improving, and integrating the BCMS, ensuring alignment with international standards, best practices, and institutional requirements.

🎯 About the Role

In this position, you will act as a functional and technical specialist in Business Continuity, contributing directly to the evolution of the Agency’s BCMS. You will work closely with internal teams, operational stakeholders, and the BCMS Task Force, ensuring documentation consistency, process quality, and alignment with ISO 22301 standards.

You will be responsible for analysing existing documentation, consolidating critical information, identifying gaps, proposing improvements, and supporting BCMS integration across organisational areas.

📋 Responsibilities

• Perform Baseline Analysis of existing BCMS documentation, assessing maturity, consistency, and alignment with ISO 22301

• Consolidate and analyse data from different organisational units

• Ensure consistency, alignment, and quality across documents, processes, and evidence

• Conduct Quality Assurance and promote documentation standardisation

• Perform Gap Analysis and propose structured improvements to strengthen the BCMS

• Support BCMS integration into operational and governance processes

• Draft, review, and consolidate critical documentation (plans, reports, templates, evidence)

• Provide administrative and operational support to the BCMS Task Force, including preparation of materials, reporting, and activity follow-up

🎯 Mandatory Requirements

🎓 Education

• Master’s degree (EQF Level 7)

🧠 Professional Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant IT professional experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in similar roles (Business Continuity / ISO 22301 / Resilience)

• Practical experience in Business Continuity Management, including: – BIA, BCP, RTO, RPO, CBF – Risk assessment & mitigation – Data consolidation & analysis – Documentation and governance

• Experience in process modelling (UML, BPMN)

• Experience in environments with strong compliance and audit requirements

🧰 Certifications (at least 1 required)

• ITIL 4 Foundation (or higher)

• Business Continuity Management – Foundation (or equivalent)

• Business Analysis certification (ECBA, UML Professional, BPM2, CCBA, CBAP…)

• PRINCE2 Foundation or PM2

🧰 Technical Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of Business Continuity Management and ISO 22301

• Advanced knowledge of risk management frameworks

• Ability to analyse and consolidate data

• Knowledge of process modelling (UML, BPMN)

• Familiarity with project management methodologies

• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and responsibility

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work in multicultural and international environments

• Proficiency with administrative tools (MS Office and similar)
